Overview

RMF is a full service general construction company that specializes in the engineering, fabrication and field erection of plate steel structures. We have extensive experience with all grades of carbon steel, stainless steel, clad and nickel alloy materials. Typical projects include API and AWWA tanks, scrubbers, ducting, silos, bins, clarifiers, thickeners, stacks, towers and other steel plate structures.

Since the company's inception in 1978, our focus has been providing the finest and most comprehensive fabrication and erection capabilities in the United States. Our projects have spread from Florida to Guam and from the North Slope of Alaska to McMurdo Station, Antarctica. When RMF is part of the construction team we bring with us years of experience and technical skills on and off site. RMF has performed numerous turnkey projects consisting of up to 250 people on site. RMF has in-house professional engineering and structural design capabilities. 100% of our work is design, detail, fabricate and erect steel plate structures.

Engineering

RMF has in-house design capabilities with registered Professional Engineers and has its own detailing department that utilizes the latest computer aided design technologies. This allows for better design to structure assembly efficiencies and time utilization. Often our engineering department finds ways to save the customer time and money through structural design modifications.

Fabrication

RMF shop fabrication facilities are located in Salt Lake City, Utah. This centralized location allows us a competitive advantage in most areas throughout the central and western United States. RMF has several fabrication buildings, which keeps fabrication process out of the weather and can also separate work areas so possibility of material contamination is eliminated. Our adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to meet customer requirements is why we receive preference and repeat business from our customers.

Erection

Our Field Construction group is made up of an assigned team for each project. This project team consists of a project engineer, purchasing agent and project manager. This project team works under one roof whose goal is to complete the project safely, on time, on budget and provide the customer with a "user friendly contractor" which will exceed their desired results. The RMF project team including the on site management team will have direct control of the development and progress of our scope of work. This team will work directly with the general contractors management to ensure timely results and smooth interface with other subcontractors.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control

RMF has the capability of shop or field welding with the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) processes. RMF has welding procedures qualified to Section IX, of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. These procedures include, but are not limited to, the following materials: Carbon Steel Austenitic Stainless Steel Chromium-Molybdenum Steel Nickel-Copper Alloy Duplex Stainless Steels "Carpenter" Alloys Ni Cr Fe Mo Cu Alloys Ni Cr Mo Alloys Ni Cr Mo Cb Alloys Our shop and field welders are qualified to Section IX, of the ASME Boiler and Pressure vessel Code. These knowledgeable personnel have the experience necessary, and are capable of working to codes such as API, AWWA, NFPA, and ASME.
